Knurled knobs for simultaneous positioning, locking and clamping
Eesa+Ganter, makers of standard machine elements, have enlarged their
“knurled knob” product series.
Attractive in design with closed form (no recess at the underside),
the GN 7336 knurled knobs are made of glass-fi bre reinforced
plastic. If requested, the cover cap can also be supplied in other
colours or with individual print. The threaded stud is made of zincplated
blue passivated steel or of stainless steel.
The basic design version (GN 7336) includes knurled knobs with
pressed-in hexagonal nuts or with pressed-in hexagonal bolts.
If you need setting and adjusting elements which position, lock
and clamp at the same time, Ganter’s product range now offers
clamping handles with GN 7336.7 clamping knobs with indexing
plungers and GN 7336.8 clamping indexing plungers, all with the
reliable knurled handles.
Clamping handles with indexing plunger GN 7336.7 operate by
pulling the knurled handle of the indexing plunger against the
spring force away from the indexing position, with the star knob
remaining connected to the clamping screw and formlocked via a
hexagon element, allowing both a clamping and a releasing action.
Clamping indexing plungers are an advance development of the
clamping handles GN 7336.7 and – with the exception of an extra
safety function – operate in the same way. The plunger is not
pulled from the indexing bore by turning the knurled knob, but
“only” by deliberately pulling the handle.
